6 Day Kilimanjaro Umbwe Route

Trip Overview

The Umbwe Route is renowned for its steep, direct approach to the summit, making it one of Kilimanjaro’s most challenging routes. With a path cutting through dense rainforest, narrow ridges, and dramatic landscapes, it’s suited for experienced trekkers who enjoy a physically demanding climb. The Umbwe Route is a less crowded trail that rewards climbers with spectacular scenery, from lush jungle to the high-altitude moorlands and alpine desert. This 6-day trek is challenging but offers a unique, exhilarating journey to Uhuru Peak.
